Get Firlight
Firlight is in its last weeks of closed testing on Google Play. You can join the test now and use it like anyone else. Joining takes the Google account on your phone; Firlight itself needs no account, is free, and nothing you write is sent to us.
Why a test? Google asks new developers to run a closed test before an app can go public. Firlight is in that window. Testers get Firlight Plus free for life, as thanks.
On your Android phone
- With the Google account you use on your phone, join the testers group and tap Join group. Joining shows your Google email to the developer, and nothing else.

Become a tester - Install Firlight from Google Play and open it. If the store says the app is not available, give it a few minutes after joining and try again.

On iPhone
There is no iPhone version yet. Firlight is made by one person, and Android came first. If you would like it on iPhone, say so at jfpvcorreia@gmail.com: the number of asks decides what comes next. Until then, the browser version below opens on an iPhone too.
In a browser
An older web version runs at app.firlight.com. It has the Wave, the check-ins, the journal and the letters, but no Google Drive backup, no reminders and no app lock, and it may be retired once the Android app is public. What you write there stays in that browser on that device only, so export a copy from Me → Settings now and then.
Moving to a new phone
Choose Continue with Google when you first open Firlight, and it keeps a private copy in a hidden folder of your own Google Drive, which we never see. On the new phone, Continue with Google again and your letters, journal, memories, photos, check-ins and dates come back.
Prefer no Google? Export a file from Me → Settings, move it to the new phone, and import it there.
